About Wyatt
A Life Shaped by Coins, Family, and Trust
My education in numismatics began long before it became my profession. I started attending coin shows at age 12, learning from experienced dealers and specialists while traveling with my mother, Debbie McDonald. Those early years gave me a close view of the knowledge, discipline, and relationships behind the rare coin market.
I later completed extensive training through the American Numismatic Association and spent eight years at Hyatt Coins in Charlotte, North Carolina. I rose to Principal Appraiser and Buyer, working directly with collectors and families as they evaluated and sold coins and currency.
That experience also showed me how intimidating the traditional coin-selling process can feel. People may inherit a collection with little context, encounter conflicting information online, or feel pressured to make a quick decision. I believed there was a better way to serve them.
In 2021, I co-founded Coinfully with my brother, Travis. We built a modern appraisal experience around education, transparency, and convenience, giving people a clearer path to understand and sell a collection without relying solely on the traditional coin-shop model.

Every collection has a story. Some were assembled over decades by a dedicated collector. Others arrive unexpectedly through an inheritance. In either case, the owner deserves clear information before making a decision.
My role is to make the process easier to understand. That means helping people:
- Identify the parts of a collection that deserve closer attention
- Understand how rarity, condition, demand, authenticity, and provenance can affect value
- Avoid common handling and cleaning mistakes
- Separate sentimental value from market value without dismissing either
- Compare appraisal and selling options with greater confidence
- Decide whether to keep, divide, document, appraise, or sell a collection
The goal is not to overwhelm people with jargon. It is to give them the context they need to move forward confidently.

Building a Better Appraisal Experience
Coinfully grew from a simple idea: access to knowledgeable, transparent coin appraisal should not depend on living near the right dealer or knowing the right person.
Our process combines numismatic expertise with online and qualifying at-home appraisal options. We help collectors, heirs, and families understand a collection before they decide what to do with it. For larger or historically important collections, qualifying clients may be able to work with our team in their own home.
Coinfully remains a family business. That matters because many of the collections we see are family stories in physical form. They may represent a loved one’s passion, years of careful collecting, or an asset the next generation has been asked to manage. We approach those conversations with the patience and respect they deserve.
